No ano de 2003, publicamos o primeiro livro da série “Ativos Dermatológicos”. Logo nos anos seguintes lançamos os Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 e 7. Estes livros são guias de consulta rápida que visam orientar, tanto o formulador no desenvolvimento, como o médico para prescrever.
O Volume 8 seria lançado neste ano, mas seguindo a orientação e o desejo dos nossos leitores, lançamos o livro Ativos Dermatológicos: Dermocosméticos e Nutracêuticos, Volume Único, que reúne os 8 livros em um só. Este novo livro traz todos os ativos dos 7 volumes anteriores e os atuais, contando ainda, com os lançamentos que serão feitos nos grandes eventos do setor.
O acréscimo dos Nutracêuticos deve-se a uma necessidade crescente em nossa sociedade: a ideia da suplementação, a ideia do uso da riqueza dos fitoterápicos, que ganharam notoriedade e relevância após a proibição da venda de anfetaminas.
A máxima da cultura moderna que determina que para se ter qualidade de vida não há segredos nem milagres, mas uma boa alimentação associada à prática de exercícios físicos e os cuidados com a pele como um todo, pode ser confirmada com o lançamento de muitos ativos de caráter nutricional e que, por várias vezes, estão associados aos dermatológicos, gerando um novo conceito: In – Out.

In 2003, we published the first book in the series "Active Dermatologic". Soon thereafter launched Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. These books are quick reference guides that aim to guide both the formulator to develop, as the doctor to prescribe.
The Volume 8 would be released this year, but following the guidance and the desire of our readers, we launched the book Active Dermatologic: Dermocosmetics and Nutraceuticals, Volume One, which brings together eight books in one. This new book brings all of the assets of seven previous volumes and the current, still counting, with the releases will be made in major industry events.
The addition of Nutraceuticals due to a growing need in our society: the idea of supplementation, the idea of using the wealth of herbal medicines, which have gained notoriety and relevance after the ban on the sale of amphetamines.

Este livro é resultado de dois anos de trabalho realizado no ambulatório do Hospital Alzira Velano, em Alfenas, Minas Gerais. Na verdade, os casos clínicos contidos neste livro são reais e fazem parte da minha tese de doutorado, que buscou avaliar a efetividade da Atenção Farmacêutica em pacientes tratados com antidepressivos. Os pacientes receberam seguimento farmacoterapêutico por seis meses.
O objetivo deste livro não é de forma alguma ser mais uma obra de psiquiatria ou psicofarmacologia, até porque existem livros excelentes sobre esses assuntos. Porém, o objetivo é demonstrar ao farmacêutico a sua importância na saúde mental e fornecer conhecimentos para que ele possa implementar o seguimento farmacoterapêutico no trabalho direcionado aos pacientes com transtornos de humor.
